They have Dazzled audiences with their spellbinding performances throughout the UK, abroad and the USA.

 

Louise Parker Quartet14.15pm - Louise Parker

A big hit on the festival circuit and a regular on Radio 2’s Best of Jazz, British vocalist, Louise Parker is a powerful live performer and a skilful interpreter of swing, blues and gospel classics. She commits to each song with the warmth, spirit and passion of the great jazz divas.  Humphrey Lyttelton’s latest protégé, Louise combines a potent mix of funk and gospel, whilst blending an effortless rhythmical style with a sweet warm tone and daring scatting to create a performance which truly stirs the soul.

 

Mike Markey and Nick Jones16.30pm - Mike Markey & Nick Jones

Mike & Nick have played alongside Walter Trout, Dave Kelly, Kent DuChaine, Mike Sanchez, Duck Baker, John Renbourn, Dana Gillespie, Dino Baptiste, Zoot Money and Wizz Jones amongst many others. They continue to record and perform at festivals and blues clubs across the UK.

 

 

Paula Gardiner18.45pm - Paula Gardiner

Originally a classical guitarist until the jazz bug bit, Paula’s one of the finest bass players around as well as an established composer and band leader. She’s here with her trio which features multi instrumentalist Lee Goodall and drummer Mark O’Connor.

 

20.45pm - Jonny Bruce

Jonny Bruce is an extraordinary and adventurous trumpet player with a truly unique identity. He has emerged onto the UK jazz scene, in recent years, through playing with the Dave Stapleton Quintet - DSQ, with who he contributes a vital role in the bands sound.  He performs regularly throughout UK and Europe and has won critical acclaim from both the Guardian and the Independent on Sunday, as well as other jazz publications, for his playing.
