Sunday - Marquee 1
12.45pm - Byron Jones Big Band
The band has considerable experience in concert work, having appeared on sixteen separate occasions at the prestigious Brecon Jazz Festival, in addition to having been featured at other Jazz Festivals and Jazz Clubs over the years. Their repertoire consists of fox-trots, quick steps, waltzes,cha-chas, sambas, amongst many others, making this one of the most authentic big band sounds around!
14.30pm - Mornington Lockett/Dick Pearce Quintet
Neither of these players are strangers to Jazz in the Park. The gig features them with the John Gibbon’s fine trio. Expect some fiery and richly entertaining music with some great solos from these guys.
16.15pm - Wonderbrass
With just about every kind of saxophone from soprano to bass, flutes, trumpets, trombones, sousaphone, an electric back-line and rhythm section under Mark O'Connor, Wonderbrass are always seeking to thrill audiences both at home and abroad, in their unique style that once heard will never be forgotten… They’ve got to be seen to be believed!
18.30pm - Alan Barnes
Alan Barnes must be one of the busiest players on the scene. Playing all the saxes as well as clarinet, he crops up in so many places, there must be at least two of him. At home in almost any jazz context, he’s busy because he’s just so good. Peripheral to the music, but a big part of the fun that’s any Barnes gig is his way with announcements. For this gig, he’s bringing his own hand picked band.

21.00pm - Dr. Teeth
A big hit last year, this is a hugely entertaining jump/jive band not afraid to let their hair down. They’re quality players, though with a highly infectious treatment of swinging bluesy material. In Their own words: “hard hitting-smart arsed-driving-soulful-boogielitious music”.
